Education Is Needed To Thrive In a Free Market

Education is very important when it comes to the free market. Those with an education have an edge when it comes to success or failure in a free market system. Companies look for those who have at the very least a high school diploma or a GED. Graduating from a College or a trade school will increase ones chances to start out at an even higher wage than someone who has only high school or a GED on their resume. This is because ones skill set is what makes them attractive to potential employers. The more experience and knowledge someone has in a particular field that a company is looking for the more valuable that person is to the company. The Free Market and Welfare Are Like Oil and Water

Welfare is a huge reason why the free market does not really exist anymore. Many families stay on welfare for generations simply because they can. They do not understand why they should work when they can simply get free money from the government. To be honest I cannot think of a reason why someone should pass up free money either if work would simply keep them at the same level financially. The only way to get those on welfare who feel that way would be to require able bodied people to work or prepare for work at least 30 hours a week in order to receive welfare. The problem this poses to a free market system is that companies have to increase their starting wage to make a job look like a better option than just sitting back and collecting a free check from the government. Free Market: Something None of Us Have Experienced

For those who continue to say that the free market failed us the rest of us have to understand that they do not know what a free market is. In fact none of us have ever experienced a free market system in our life time. With subsidy’s given to farmers prices are set artificially rather then by a free market system. When companies like GM fail because of bad decisions made by management and bad union contracts a free market system would let them fail not bail them out with tax payer money. Failure is not a bad thing and is the key component to success. A company that fails shows others what should not be done and allows other companies to step up and take their place. There is something called “bankruptcy” that can be used by a company like GM to start over and leave its bad polices and contracts behind. Read More
